Manipur, one of the seven sister states in the North East of India continues to be prowled by insurgency and terrorism. Even after six decades of independence, the situation is far from satisfaction.

Terrorism is terrorism. It means that some one out to spread terror is a terrorist. Though he or she may be hailed as freedom fighter by some one or some group. But we should refrain extending political legitimacy to terrorists by describing them as militants. This practice of describing terrorists as militants was too adopted by the Home Minister in the NDA Government L.K. Advani.
